Booster Bath Success Story

Booster Bath Success StoryPaws For Thought recently teamed up with The Quigley House, the Domestic Violence Center for Clay County, Florida. This woman's shelter is one of a very few of its kind in the country inviting battered women to stay with their animals at Quigley House's facilities. The Quigley House has accommodations for their guests' animals that include a ten run dog kennel with watering system featuring a Booster Bath for easy bathing, a climate controlled 10 x 16 feline house, and furniture for the animals.

Sharon Youngerman, executive director for the Quigley House is thrilled to have a dog washing system in house that is both easy to use and attractive. "For years Quigley House has received calls from abused women who need a safe place to go. However, like most DV shelters we weren’t able to accommodate their pets. So, instead of leaving their beloved pets in harms way, the victims stayed in the abusive situation. Quigley House is working to change that. Now the 'entire' family can find safe shelter from abuse. While they are staying with us out of harms way, we want them to feel at home. Thanks to Booster Bath the dogs will be both safe and clean. Thank you, Booster Bath."

The Quigley House opened its doors to their residents four legged friends on April 21, 2008 and will be featured along with all the pet products donated (including the Booster Bath) in the Dog Fancy July 2008 issue.
