Companies come and go and that seems to be the natural progression of business. Last year the economy tanked and has forced some manufactures to cut back on buying product, research and development. Some companies have even cut back hours for employees to work part time.

You may be asking why support US made product and what impact does it have on my pet. The very fact is "Healthy" competition is necessary and is what makes variety of choices for the consumer. Think of it this way unfortunately most large companies are greedy and they want YOU to buy ONLY FROM THEM. Now if that happens then all the other companies would be forced to close then there would be only the BIG BOYS to buy from. The result would be less variety to choose from.

Just imagine if your dog had only 3 choices of dog food or only 2 choices of dog collars, 4 choices of dog beds and so on. This may not seem much but when it comes technology your pet may some day be depending on this. For example I had a small US manufacture produce pet warming pads. This product was fantastic!

It provided warmth and safety for the pet all at the same time. It was unlike any other pet heating pad, it would warm the pet and could be left on all the time for months at a time. It was water resistant and had a huge transformer built into the plug so it could stay on all the time without over heating. Unfortunately the manufacture suffered and could not buy the proper parts to make the product worthy of selling so this company was forced to close.

I am simply trying to bring an awareness to the potential consumer. If given the choice Please consider buying US made pet products. We all will use the BIG BOYS but given the choice please consider buying US made pet products when available even if it is buying from a small US manufacture. Doolittle's pet products proudly displays "Made in the US" when possible on certain pet products.
