As we close out the month of June and quickly enter into July, it’s no shocker that the temperatures across the country continue to rise as we make our way to the steamy summer months. With increased temperatures, it is so important to keep in mind that our pets are affected by the heat even more than we are.

Their paws - weather they are big or small can quickly burn when left on hot pavement for an extended period of time. If it’s too hot for you to stand outside barefoot, it definitely is for your pets as well!

It is also important to keep in mind the amount of time that is being spent going on walks or playing outside in the backyard as well. Even in the shade, pets can often overheat if left outside in the harsh summer conditions for an extended period of time.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Our team at Doolittle Pet Product’s can’t stress the importance of remaining hydrated at all hours of the day. It’s often overlooked and forgotten that pets need to be hydrated before they go outside on an afternoon walk and play around the neighborhood.
